Tom McCombes: Hydrodynamic design of rotor blades, fluid dynamics, device design and optimisation. Working on marine renewables for 10 years including large European projects, device development, experimental testing, and full scale deployment at sea.

Fred Gibson: In composites manufacture for over 25 years, originally with one-off boats; began Shetland Composites in 1999, now established as specialist supplier for the marine renewables industry, from small scale prototypes to full-size tidal turbine blades. Purpose-built 800m² insulated workshop with overhead lifting and wide access.

Colin Anderson: Load prediction, blade design, structural analysis, and experimental testing. In renewables since 1981, including wind, wave, and tidal sectors. Spent 14 years as design and development engineer with large commercial wind turbine and turbine blade manufacturers.
